A Comprehensive Study

Evening has arrived filling the facility with night. Through the darkness, secretively, an ancient blight invades! Vermin comprised of a mated pair of rats (one male rat and one female rat) have entered the facility to initiate (Graphic 1) a rat infestation. Their birthrate and that of their offspring is massive creating, per the experts, over 6,000 commensal rats (indoor) per year in a facility under optimum conditions (Graphic 2). Rats have always lived in close quarters with Man degrading where Man lives and works. The process begins again this night as the infestation is established. The invaded facility will have its’ indoor health environment and indoor air quality compromised, “worsening every night” the infestation continues by what rats constantly expel as defense mechanisms to confuse predators, as well as having the potential to deliver diseases (over 43 known) carried on their skin and in their digestive tract. The behavioral patterns this vermin manifests have led to the conclusion by the University of Michigan in a recent Study stating “RATS, GREATEST PEST OF ALL TIME…KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN ALL WARS COMBINED!” Rats, truly a formidable adversary representing over 92 percent of rodents.

Infestations begin with a low level 1 but rapidly and continually escalate until the highest level is reached, a 10x10. As the infestation grows unabated, the facility’s indoor health environment and indoor air quality are under constant assault suffering worsening degradation. A common statement made by those housed in, as well as responsible for the facility is “we haven’t seen any rats so we must not have any.” This couldn’t be more misguided! “Evidence” of rats living in a facility is what confirms a growing infestation is underway. Seldom are these nocturnal and secretive vermin seen, an inherent survival behavior, and often the basis the facility’s occupants and those responsible for the facility are in self-denial about the growing infestation. To ignore an infestation that is underway leaves the indoor health environment and indoor air quality under continuous assault as the infestation continues to develop. A comprehensive professional site inspection is the only way to determine if an infestation is underway, while defining the level of infestation it has attained thus far.

Among the consequences that are initiated by a rat infestation, worsening as the infestation level increases, are BLACK RAIN (Graphic 3), YELLOW RAIN (Graphic 4) and rats vectoring diseases into the facility acting as a delivery mechanism (Graphic 5). It’s disgusting, continuous, and escalating as the infestation level rises with the quality of the indoor health environment and indoor air supply, both in steady decline often complemented by property damage issues from rats' gnawing. BLACK RAIN is created by rats' constant defecation of feces, as a defense mechanism to confuse predators. The feces will particalize in a few days when airflow is passed over them resulting in minute feces particles entering the indoor air supply. The facility’s occupants “will” be breathing the feces particles causing adult respiratory issues. It is well researched that BLACK RAIN breathed by children can create asthma in those that don’t have a propensity for it.

YELLOW RAIN is created by rats' constant urination, also as a defense mechanism, as they travel throughout the infested facility during the nighttime. YELLOW RAIN TRAILS dry “clear” over the night in the areas of the facility that the rats have traveled. YELLOW RAIN TRAILS leave a residue which “will” be handled unknowingly by the facility’s occupants. Wild rats (outdoor) invading the facility act as a delivery mechanism resulting in the transmittal of any of over 43 known diseases being vectored into the infested facility. These processes happen “every” night the facility remains infested, worsening over the infestation timeline. Man’s scourge!

CAN AN INFESTED FACILITY BE RESTORED SO THE INDOOR HEALTH ENVIRONMENT AND INDOOR AIR SUPPLY PRECLUDE THE FACILITY’S OCCUPANTS FROM BEING IMPACTED BY THIS VERMIN?

Yes, eliminate the rat infestation! The Pest Control Industry has tried to solve rat infestations since the Industry was created using “Traditional” pest control methods and equipment, but with limited results. In spite of their commitment, they simply end up “farming rats.” Farming rats means that they can only eliminate 3 to 5 percent of a facility’s infesting rat population PER YEAR. The elimination rate of 3 to 5 percent per year of the rats infesting the facility is far exceeded by the massive birthrate of this vermin. In essence they are trying to eliminate the rats using traditional methods and aged equipment developed prior to WW II. The poison bait stations, snap traps and glue boards (Traditional aged equipment) they use eliminates rats on a “onesy-twosy” basis (3 to 5 percent per year) while rat’s massive birthrate (Graphic 2) just overwhelms this elimination rate allowing the population of infesting rats in a facility to continue to escalate – FARMING RATS. They have tried other methods attempting to overcome this limitation such as Integrated Pest Management (IPM) with the principal of “exclusion” being a cornerstone. Exclusion identifies and closes openings on the perimeter of the facility by the use of compounds. It can work for insects but fails with rats. Exclusion is a process that seals entry points detected in the facility’s perimeter first, but if that fails it is backed up by the use of chemicals. However, rats can’t be excluded from a facility they choose to invade. Their teeth are next to steel on the Rockwell Hardness Scale of Materials, so they can chew through the compounds used by the pest control operators, as well as other construction materials, to gain access to the facility at will. Some think that degree of effort inputted into the use of IPM and other pest control methods and aged equipment is the variable that will get elimination results in an infested facility. Quickly it becomes apparent it is not a result of effort that makes the difference in eliminating rats, but rather technology! State-of-the-art technology that creates the elimination of rats infesting a facility at an elimination rate greater than rats' massive birthing rates. Absent state-of-the-art technology, the rats win!

WHAT TECHNOLOGY EXISTS TODAY IN THE PEST CONTROL INDUSTRY TO DEFEAT RATS AND THE INFESTATIONS THEY CREATE AND DEVELOP IN FACILITIES?

ONLY ONE! This state-of-the-art, proprietary technology creates TOTAL elimination of a rat population infesting a facility (commensal rats – indoor) in 4 to 6 weeks contrasted to the dismal results achieved by traditional pest control methods and aged equipment (Graphic 6). This high tech, state-of-the-art, proprietary Rat Elimination System is based on inherent rat behavior and a genetic weakness all rats have. No poisons are used. Rats impacted by this System leave the infested facility to pass outdoors. Many other well researched rat behavioral features have been integrated into this System which is comprised of two parts, a “grid” designed for the infested facility’s unique architectural configuration, and custom engineered equipment, to house and deliver compound, populating key points on the “grid” that appears much like a blueprint. The effectiveness of the System is anchored on the concept that it creates a rat elimination rate that is far greater than rat’s massive birthrate, so a total elimination can be achieved expeditiously. The power of this high tech, state-of-the-art, proprietary System is great! It is so powerful that it is easily thought of as permanently eliminating the rat infestation present. In fact rat infestations are like a war. Rats are everywhere and thriving (in the US the experts state the rat population exceeds 1,250,000,000 [over 1.25 billion]).

WHAT RAT ELIMINATION SYSTEM DISCONTINUATION CREATES

Rat eliminations are about winning battles, cost effectively. In the case of the System, the first battle is the installation, later followed by quarterly maintenance of the System, each also is a battle. Using the System’s power to fight all the battles and the rats will cease to be an issue in a facility. They will be gone and remain gone as long as the quarterly battles are fought. The power of the System precludes the need for service calls between battles with the System’s results backed up by a written performance guarantee. If the battles cease to be fought quarterly for any reason, the rat infestation will resurrect itself taking back all the System’s gains in a quarter. This will happen even though all previous quarterly battles have been fought and won by the users of the System, holding the rats and their infestation at bay. The rats will have won the war! The INFESTATION - Creation and Development begins again, with the consequences as embellished in this narrative. It is regrettable and costly to give back that which has been earned for the first time in recorded history!
