PARTIAL
LIST OF ANCILLARY RAT ELIMINATION SYSTEM FACTS:
- The state-of-the-art Rat Elimination
System will expeditiously eliminate the rat infestation impacting a
facility and then maintain the facility free of rats. Occasionally,
after a period of time, the occupants and managers of the facility will
assume, incorrectly, that the rats are gone and will move to
discontinue service for any of a number of reasons generally for
budgetary. What in fact is happening is that the commensal (inside)
rats and the wild (outside trying to invade the facility) rats are
being kept at bay by a quarterly (sometimes shorter) recharging cycle
giving the appearance that the rats are gone. Holding rats “at bay”
is far different then the illusion that the rats are gone which
unfortunately is not possible given the wild rats’ harborage areas
around a facility. Quarterly recharging is in essence maintaining the
rat elimination keeping the facility commensal rat free. Discontinue
this maintenance (recharging) cycle and the wild rats will begin to
reinvade the facility and recreate a commensal rat infestation. This
process of resurrection will be well underway in a quarter moving up
the infestation levels quickly. The ONLY way to secure an elimination
already achieved is to maintain the Rat Elimination System’s
recharging cycle. To remove or discontinue recharging the grid of
delivery housings inside the facility and at the perimeter has the
effect of WRITING OFF the initial investment made to establish the
grid (initial installation), which leads to a rat re-infestation of
the facility. This concedes that the rats have WON leaving the
facility and its’ occupants to cope with a degrading indoor health
environment and indoor air supply, as well as other rat issues. To win
this battle “permanently,” as much as that is possible, is to
install the Rat Elimination System and continually maintain the result
it provides through the quarterly recharging cycle. Discontinuing this
System is simply to LOSE, leaving a rat infestation to be recreated
and in development in the facility, the consequence of which will be
borne by the facility’s occupants to the detriment of their health.
- The Rat Elimination
System is comprised of a series of
tubular shaped "Delivery Housings" which are deployed
on a designed "Grid" on an infested site. The Delivery
Housings and the Grid they are placed on have been designed
to encompass inherent rat behavior and a genetic weakness all rats
have. Some of the major behavior traits designed into the Rat
Elimination System are:
a. |
Rats
live and socialize in well defined, independent colonies with
no colony overlap. |
b. |
The
designed Rat Elimination System, properly deployed, has no “behavior
modification impact” or “bait shyness effect” on rats. |
c. |
Rats
instinctively travel on predictable ingress/egress vectors
to/from their colony center to/from food/water sources,
allowing the Rat Elimination System effectiveness to be
positively impacted by the employment of the “principal of
intersection” as a basis to eliminate them. |
d. |
Rats
instinctively are more secure in closed spaces on the
ingress/egress paths leading and drawing them to the Rat
Elimination System's Delivery Housings. |
e. |
Rats
instinctively groom and social groom 20% of their waking
hours, the basis for the behavioral “multiple grooming
effect” they exhibit. |
f. |
Rats are borderline
hemophiliacs who arterial system is broken down by the time
delay anticoagulants delivered by the System’s Delivery
Housings metabolizing within the rat’s body in a totally
natural, delayed way, leading to their short term demise. This
time delay feature in the anticoagulant causes rats to leave
the infested facility in search of increased levels of water
and fresh air leading to their ultimate demise outdoors.

- The design of the Rat Elimination System’s Delivery Housings and
the method of their deployment on the GRID is based on empirical
research, in Rodentology. This discipline uses references from
university studies, institutes and Agencies of the Federal Government
that focus on rats. This collective research specializing in rats,
their colonization behavior and genetic weakness is the basis of this
new specialized discipline – Rodentology. The novel study of Rodentology,
now mastered, is an innovative, fresh high tech discipline in the Pest
Control Industry.
- The high tech Rat Elimination System effectiveness is in part due to
the ongoing movement of the rat population around the infested
facility during which the rats are instinctively drawn and constantly
travel the security (as rats perceive it) the deployed custom designed
state-of-the-art system Delivery Housings offer. While instinctively
passing through a Delivery Housing in the infested facility, a small
dose of anticoagulant is strategically delivered to the fur of the
rat. When this rat returns to it's colony it begins to groom itself,
which leads to social grooming by other rats and ultimately to the
demise of the rat that traveled the System, as well as those rats
involved in the social grooming process whom have not traveled the
System, causing the demise of all rats involved. The final net effect
is the elimination of the rats infesting the facility at a rate
greater then their birthing rate, generating an decline in the
infestation and finally it's end.
- The total Rat Elimination System is
comprised of a Master Grid that is designed based on the architectural
configuration of an infested facility. The Master Grid incorporates
rats’ inherent behavior with high tech Delivery Housings located at
key points on the Master Grid. The Master Grid is comprised of an
interior grid located in the infested facility and a perimeter grid
located at ground level around the infested facility. Rats infested in
the facility living in the interior are called “commensal” rats
that after two generations have adapted to the facility being their “universe,”
ceasing to know there is an exterior to the facility. They are very
difficult to eliminate. Rats living in the harborage areas around the
facility are called “wild” rats. Rats inherently invade
facilities. Wild rats live outside the facility but are always
invading it. The perimeter grid eliminates over 90 percent of the wild
rats trying to invade the facility. The interior grid eliminates the
remaining 10 percent of the wild rats that are able to breach the
perimeter grid, as well as the commensal rat population living in the
facility. In most cases the two grids (interior and exterior) work in
tandem to expeditiously eliminate the total rat population infesting
the facility, normally in a matter of weeks.
- The high tech Rat Elimination System is
a combination of the Grid and state of the art Delivery
Housings strategically positioned on it, both working in tandem.
The Grid design is created
differently for each infested facility’s unique architectural
configuration and represents 75 percent of the high tech Rat
Elimination System. The custom designed state-of-the-art Delivery
Housings strategically positioned on the Grid
are 25 percent of the System. Both of these prongs of this high tech
Rat Elimination System are based on inherent rat behavior and a
genetic weakness all rats have which expeditiously leads to the total
elimination of this formidable adversary.
- Customers on occasion make the statement
that “there have been no complaints (in the facility being
discussed) so we must not have rats.” Regrettably, this is a
misguided statement. Rats by their behavior are a very secretive
animal that do not like to be seen, which is the basis for them being
nocturnal and a successfully employed survival technique. The only way to
determine if a rat infestation is underway in a facility is to perform
a professional site inspection, which does NOT seek out visual
confirmation of rats, but rather the “evidence” of rats present
via black rain, yellow rain, gnaw marks, oily rub marks, nighttime
noises, etc…
- In a newly constructed facility, it is
assumed and stated that because the facility is new that there are no
rats in it. Another misguided statement. In fact, this vermin can begin
the infestation often during the construction process. This type of
infestation can be more cost effectively dealt with in a “Proactive”
way by installing the Rat Elimination System during construction. In due
time if this "Proactive" method is not undertaken, a more costly “Reactive"
method will be required as the level of infestation escalates after
construction.
- The prime directive of this high tech,
state-of-the-art Rat Elimination System design is to eliminate the
total rat population in an infested facility at a rate greater then
the massive birth rate that rats are capable of achieving.
- The high tech, state-of-the-art Rat
Elimination System’s Delivery Housings function within the
System as their name describes. They “house” a time delay
anticoagulant compound until “delivered” to the oily fur of rats
passing through the apparatus on rat’s ingress/egress paths, thus
the name Delivery Housing. The Rat Elimination System Delivery
Housings are not traps, which is what is used by
traditional pest control as part of their antiquated traditional
equipment that includes a combination of rat snap traps, rat glue
boards and poison bait stations. The compound used in the System’s Delivery
Housings is a diluted time delay anticoagulant. Those who are
aware of this high tech, state-of-the-art Rat Elimination System often
mistakenly call this time delay anticoagulant a “poison or powdered
poison.” IT IS NEITHER! No poisons are involved with
this high tech, state-of-the-art Rat Elimination System. Often people
in an infested facility, who are making conversation, will ask if any
rats have been caught in the System’s traps. With this misguided
question, an effort is always made to educate them about this high
tech, state-of-the-art System, how it performs and that traps are NOT
a part of it.
